Happy First Halloween Bubba Claxton aka "Joe the Redneck"
Ok so I can't sew to save my life except maybe for a button, but can you all give me a point for a touch of creativity? It was this or a picture of him in an orange store bought onesie with "my first halloween" on it. Maybe I'm just a cruel mama bear, but i had to laugh taking the pictures and once again Finn thinking what the hell is my mom going to do to me today. The only thing missing from this picture of course is a gun.... DON"T GET ANY BRIGHT IDEAS DADDY RAY. I told you we'd start discussing it at age 7.

Saw the blog. It's a good start for the boy. As soon as you find out whether he's right or left handed, let me know and we'll make a mold of his hand to use to make a custom grip for a 9mm automatic. Keep up the good work mama.

Carie-you are obviously not a gun owner and thus not a member of the national rifle association (NRA) and as Martha Stewart would say "that's a good thing" - so to explain my low-brow logic... Heston refers to Charlton Heston (aka "Moses")who for a long time was the president of the NRA who recently died (or did he?) in April. Finn is dressing up as "Joe the Redneck" aka "a bubba" and PRC is for People's Republic of China. I guess a costume probably shouldn't have that long of an explanation. :)
Steve (who is a gun owner) filled me in a little more on the costume. I knew about Heston, the guns and NRA but still don't know if he's dead or not. And you're right, a costume should not need an explanation. :-)
heston died april 5,2008 at tge age of 84...now you know!!

Carie - Oh please don't tell me I offended your man... gun owner does not = redneck ... unless you think my father in law and Will are rednecks - well, maybe sometimes. ;) Anyway - I thought the t-shirt was more a play on "Elvis Lives" .... anyway...maybe next year I'll stick with a pumpkin costume. :)
Tracy~ I don't think you could ever offend my man.......he may even consider himself a redneck, who knows? :-) I think you could sell him a HESTON LIVES tshirt and he'd wear it!
